...and I just want to remind everyone how many times you've heard an article about a Miami guy getting in trouble in the past 2-3 years--almost zero.

I can't count the negative articles in the same time span for F$U or the Gaytors on my fingers & toes...I run out way too quick.

But--Miami's still Thug U, right???

it was FIU and it started because they decided to body slam the holder after a kick

thats no different than a baseball team rushing the field because somebody just charged the mound and attacked the pitcher

to compare that with using a dead chicks credit card is asinine at best

I agree, just saying, every college football program has its problems. When you have 90 kids on the team from ages 18-23, there's bound to be some knuckleheads in the group.

What he said. Or let's compare the same deal with the execution of dogs, or with multiple domestic violence calls. Ludicrous.

The worst things that happened on the Miami side in that brawl was Anthony Reddick stomping on a player, and Brandon Meriweather swinging his helmet (or vice versa, can't remember). Both were suspended games by the university and served their time for their transgressions.

Note they didn't do community service w/o missing any playing time, or they didn't run steps as punishment--they were punished how they should have been punished--with playing time. Had they done worse things (as kids have done elsewhere mind you), it's likely they would have been kicked off the team...but that just doesn't seem to happen anywhere else...and if it happened at Miami today to one of their players--TONS of talking heads and opposing fans would be calling for their expulsion from the team and school.

Where's the outrage here?

And the brawl was one on-the-field thing as opposed to multiple off-the-field things happening all across the country at other schools. I haven't seen any SI covers calling for OU, UT, VT, FSU, or UF to disband their football programs yet--when are we going to see that kind of stuff like we saw for Miami back in the day?
